Questions regarding some of the key terms

1. Compensation - Indicate who is responsible for providing the compensation

2. Indigenous people - I am unsecure about the use of the word "nation-state" in this section. The term nation-state usually refers to a sovereign state that coincides geographically with a nation (a group of people sharing a sense of a common culture or ethnicity), but it seems to have a different meaning in this text. Also, I don't understand the sentence ending with: "...independently or largely isolated from the influlence of the claimed governance by a nation-state".

3. Return - missing word at the end of the text: the situation of their COUNTRY of origin. Also, I think it should be "the situation IN their country of origin"

4. Unrecognized villages - There is a text section that is repeated, although not identically.

Ok, that's all for now! Otherwise the text is good!

Dear Anna: In fact, few actual states are truly nation-state in the presumed meaning of the term and, therefore, you are right. Perhaps "State" or "independent State" should replace "nation-state," which term from the UN-document original survived in this draft. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
